Rose Petroleum (ROSE.L) is focusing on developing its oil & gas portfolio, while seeking to create value from its existing mining, milling and porphyry copper exploration portfolio. In March 2014 Rose Petroleum entered into a farm-in agreement to acquire a 75% working interest in the Paradox Basin of Utah, USA. Neighbouring producer Fidelity (MDU Resources Group, NYSE.MDU), has a 100 drill success record to date and extracted 1mmbo from 15 wells in 2013. Rose also has legacy interests including uranium properties in Colorado, a JV with Lowell Copper on a copper asset in SW USA, an exploration property in Mexico indicating a classic base and precious metals porphyry system, and operates an SDA mill in Mexico, toll milling third party ore. The company continues to investigate various opportunities across different sectors and geographies to provide additional projects alongside its existing hydrocarbon and metals activities. More recently, Rose has been pursuing an opportunity in Cuba to become a manufacturer and distributor of calcined gypsum, interior panels, ceiling panels and other gypsum based materials for the construction industry in Cuba.
