Proton Motor Power Systems plc (PPS.L) has three decades of expertise focused on hydrogen fuel cell systems, offering customers both customised and turnkey solutions. Hydrogen, when consumed in a fuel cell, produces zero emissions, making it a key strand of achieving net zero emissions by 2050. The company’s expertise ranges from design and development to production, implementation, and maintenance of its fuel cell systems. Proton Motor has developed proprietary fuel cell systems for each of its four key verticals: Stationary, Automotive, Rail and Maritime. The company has refence customers in all four verticals, including blue chip customers: Shell, GKN Hydrogen, DB Bahnbau Gruppe and Fincantieri.

Proton Motor was founded in 1998 and was admitted to trading on AIM in 2006. The company’s operations have been Headquartered in Puchheim, near Munich since 2007. By the end of 2024, Proton Motor is scheduled to move to a larger facility, located seven miles (c. 11km) east of its current operations.
